God bless pharma! Everyone knows that for eons now big pharma companies have been giving cheesy branded crap to doctors who happily place those items in their offices. If you haven’t already noticed, take a peek around your doctor’s office on the next visit and count the amount of cheseball items containing some designer drug company’s logo.

Anywho, I was chilling at the doctor’s this last week and noted that her stethoscope was branded. That’s right, pharmas are now pimping out branded stethoscopes and other useful items that doctors will use. So, whether you like it or not, you and your doctor are being advertised to every visit you make.

Now, I’m totally on the fence about this. My gut reaction is to be totally disgusted, my health is the last thing that should be left up to an advertising agency. At the same time I am really impressed with the agility of these companies, creating products that are actually incredibly useful to doctors and therefore getting eyeball time. Makes me REALLY want me a mad crazy prescription of Nodoz.
