I wanna design…
So, I’ve decided in the last few days it is time to quit my job and become a designer proper. Funny thing is that won’t actually happen, but dammit, I decided it. I’ve been back on the kick of looking at tons of design and wanting to do that as my primary source of income. I feel like I’ve really grown over the last few years and have a better chance now than ever to do it, but alas.
I get to do a fair bit of design at work now, and I like my job, but the allure of doing it full time is so very strong. I really only have to think back a few years to realize how ridiculous it is to even fantasize about it, fortunately though my memory is extremely short.
I guess for now I’ll just have to step up the search for freelance jobs. I’m hoping this band thing will pan out because that can result in lots of design work what with posters, albums, shirts and whatnots. Oh, and I would get to play music, that could be fun too.
Also, please disregard that the last post was in August. That isn’t possible. You are imagining such things. Also, the design at left is for the new Hope in Ghosts record. Yes, that grungy paper thing is not new, but dammit, I like it. Album is called “All Your Departures.” Get it?
