I like finding local talent, whether it is music, art or a particularly good panhandler. I was flipping through Reax #10 last night at the computer and pulling up band sites as well as some of the sites for advertisers when I came across Blackout Creations.

According to their site they are an artist collective studio that does art, tattooing, graphic design and has a gallery space. A quick jaunt through their portfolio shows some pretty damn fine work for a place in St. Pete. Mind you a lot of the work is pretty damn trendy, but at least it is well done.

It is very reassuring to see a place like this here and combined with Reax and a couple of Tampa bands I think things are starting to look up culturally in the ol’ Florida.
