The Second City is a legendary improvisational theatre in Chicago Illinois. The list of famous comics, improvisers and actors having gotten their start on The Second City's stage is extraordinarily long and features names such as Gilda Radner, John Belushi, Mike Meyers, Tina Fey and Stephen Colbert just to name a few. The Second City is also a sprawling corporate entity with multiple locations, training centers, and a television & film division.

The Dirt
The Second City came to us less than one year after having spent an enormous amount of money on a largely Flash-based site that looked nice, but wasn't meeting any of their unique needs. The top priority was gaining greater control over the content and organization of the site, which we provided with a custom content management system built completely to Second City's specs. The system allowed end users to update page content, upload images, and maintain a news system within a simple. form-based interface. The fully CSS template was a huge departure from the bandwidth intensive previous site, providing clean and fast loading access to information, schedules and tickets.
